How do I hire a YB Temp?

Simply call us or complete a booking form; we will need to have a chat to understand your brief; we want to ensure that the person we place with you will add value and feel well-informed on what to expect.

What type of skill sets do you hire?

Our niche is in hiring people who are available now and who will be skilled to carry out the work you need; we can, therefore, hire a range of skill sets. All of our temps are professionals, so if you find this person in a head office role, we will hire them for you. Currently, we have Receptionists, Customer Success Managers, HR Generalists, Data Analysts, UX Designers and Finance Managers out on assignment. The possibilities are endless.

How do you check the details of your candidates?

All YB Temps are interviewed by one of our qualified consultants at least twice; we confirm eligibility to work in the UK and carry out reference checks and can perform skills checks, DBS or deeper background checks for specific roles.

What if I want to make the Temp permanent?

This is very common at YB Temps; you are within your rights to make a permanent job offer; our team will agree a start date that fits with your payroll cycle and then send your company an invoice to finalise the transition from temp to permanent.

Will you check in with the temp?

The Account Management team at YB Teamps plays an active role with our temps, we regularly review progress in person and over the phone, all of our temps are well supported with easy access to our expert team. We are always available to relay business messages, offer feedback and answer any questions.

How do we record the temps time at work?

At YB Temps, we use an online timesheet system; our temps input their weekly working pattern at the end of the week, which is submitted to the line manager to authorise; you will receive the approved timesheet alongside your invoice.

How does payment work?

At YB Temps we will invoice you bi-weekly only for the hours or days physically worked, we include PAYE taxes as well as our admin fee. Our temps receive a monthly PAYE payment into their banks.

Do you provide ‘Off Payroll IR35’ workers?

No, this is not our speciality. We would be happy to recommend some companies that can help, though; just reach out.

What is the Agency Workers Regulation, and could it impact me?

The Agency Workers Regulations 2010 (AWR) are designed to tackle discrimination against agency workers in the workplace and their often poor terms and conditions. The Regulations give temporary agency workers stronger rights after they have been on an assignment for 12 consecutive weeks. YB Temps follow the ruling carefully to protect our clients and candidates to ensure our temps are paid fairly. We will discuss this with you in detail.
